Where the saffron grows
We work from Pampore, a short drive south of Srinagar, on the high plateaus where Kashmir’s saffron is grown. Each autumn the fields turn violet for a few short weeks.
The patterns on our kaftans come from this valley: the chinar leaf, the almond, the trailing floral vine of Aari work. Kashmiri embroiderers have used these motifs for generations. We work them by machine and cut them into easy, everyday shapes.
Five steps, one workshop
Summer cotton, crushed cotton or chiffon — each picked for how it breathes and how it falls.
A traditional Kashmiri motif is chosen and placed on the yoke, neckline or hem.
Worked by machine in traditional Aari or Tilla designs, so every motif comes out even.
Cut loose and stitched by our tailors in Pampore.
Every piece is checked for stitching faults, pressed and packed for dispatch.
Machine-worked, and we say so.
Traditional Kashmiri Aari and Tilla patterns, embroidered by machine. That’s what keeps the motifs even and the price at ₹1,200–₹1,400 instead of many times that. Hand embroidery is a different craft at a different price — if you want a hand-Sozni piece made to order, message us on WhatsApp. We’d rather tell you plainly than let you guess.

A proper GST invoice in every parcel.
If stitching or embroidery develops a manufacturing fault within 12 months, we repair or replace it.
Orders are packed and leave Pampore within 24–48 hours.
